Friday PE

Thank you Whaea Chelsea and Whaea estee for the great PE we have been doing every Friday. 

Autumn Leaves

Today was a chilly autumn day and we all went outside looking for autumn leaves , we looked at the colours , the shapes, and counted how many we had collected ......then .....we saw what happened when we threw all the leaves into the air,

The Walking Rainbow

On Friday in art we learnt more about primary colours and what happens when they mix. We were able to make a walking rainbow which we were very excited about.

What an amazing Friday we had today

Thanks to Whaea Chelsea who prepared all our art activities and Mother's day presents

Then in spite of the rain we started our new PE unit today we tried all different activities and rotated through all the Kiwi and Kereru classes. Thanks Whaea Chelsea and Whaea Estee for all your planning.

Healthy Eating - Health / Wellbeing / Hauora

In week  1 we have been talking and writing about healthy lunches, We have started to make healthy choices having  sandwiches and water for our lunch.

Cross Country

Kereru 2 has some great Cross Country runners

- Warren for 2 seconds placings in the Year 2 boys ( 2 laps of the bike track)
- Janessa for a very close 3rd just pipped at the post ( 2 laps)
- J'Huelz for a 3rd and a 5th in Year 1 boys ( 1 lap)

Fruit tree planting

Today Warren represented Kereru 2 on the fruit tree planing project they spent all morning planning and planting fruit trees around our school . Well Done Warren
